Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that the RNC is a great compressor whose abilities are unequalled in the digital world. Given that one normally doesn't want to track with compression (with the possible exception of bass), aren't you going to lose sound quality (unless you've got mega-bucks converters) by tracking to digital, going back to analog for the compression, and back to digital again for the mix or further processing?
