OK, so i just got my Tascam US-1800 earlier this evening, and I have Sonar X1 with Windows 7 32-bit. I need some help to get this thing connected.

Here's what I have done:
Install driver that came with CD
Install driver from Tascam's website
Install ASIO4ALL

None seem to work, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks :)

When you say: 'none seem to work' do you mean that the 1800 is not being recognized by Sonar?

According to the specs I saw on the 1800, it has its own ASIO drivers, so I don't think you need to use ASIO4ALL.

Sonar recognizes the device, when I open sonar, under Driver Settings, I can only Select
- WDM/KS
- WASAPI
- MMS
- ASIO

I've been doing some reading around, is there an exact order that must be followed or a mix of settings to get it working properly? In one thread, i saw something about configuring VST via Devices.

I installed the drivers (latest) from Tascam's website. Having its own ASIO drivers, do you then mean I should not have ASIO4ALL installed?

Yes, thanks, that is exactly what I did, funny enough I tried it before, and it failed to recognize all inputs, I tried a different USB Port and voila, it now see's all inputs, now time for me to start testing all inputs and then get my recording sessions ready.

NOTE: For anyone who may experience pops when using the US-1800, i opened Task Manager (Ctrl+Sift+Esc) and set SonarPRD.exe (Sonar X1) to realtime, by changing the Priority, this made it run so nice and smooth for me, with the Control Panel running on Normal Latency
