Newbie recording on my PC

I just figured out how to record myself on electric piano onto my PC but it only plays back in mono. My L & R piano outputs feed into one and that goes to a 1/8" cable to my Line In on the PC. I suspect it's the 2 RCA's going into one.

So my questions are:
1. How do I record in stereo?
2. How can I record my piano and voice at the same time?
3. What is the best way to record me and a drummer jamming?

I don't have a budget to invest in recording equipment so I would like to continue to use my PC.

It all comes down to this, to do what you want to do your going to have to spend some money on a multi - input soundcard or a mixer.
 
Thanks for the advice. I'll check out the costs involved in that. I understand now that multi ports will allow me to record my piano and my retched voice. I have an opportunity to get Adobe Audition, I am very green so do you think it's too much for my amatuer stuff. Is there a simpler software out there that would be more my level. The very most I will ever do is is record some songs that my buddy's and I play. All for fun.

Well there is alot of software that you can use, for less money you can try N-Tracks ($50.00 i think), krystal audio engine (free), audacity (free), or tracktion($80.00) those are good software for a noob. I say if you can get audition for a good price and you are willing to sit and learn how to run the program go for it. :D
 
carter is right...if you can get audition....do that, sit and learn it - it's really easier than you think. And, you'll be way ahead of the curve. Even if it's just for fun.

I may be wrong on this, but if the the 1/8" Line in on your computer is a stereo connector, you can get an adaptor cable like this one to at least get your keyboard into the computer in stereo.

You are correct that is the right cable.
