I've run through the audio set up process for Cubase, apparently without problems. The simulation test says everything is OK.
My PC is 350mhz, 64mb and runs Cakewalk fine.

My problem is a delay in hearing back audio. At first I thought there was a delay effect switched on somewhere, because I hear the original signal in low volume, and then it repeats louder. It's a great delay effect but annoying as hell :)

So this must be a buffering/latency issue? But how do I put it right? The ASIO simulation test says there isn't a problem.

It's those new programme set-up blues..............

under options , go to Audio Setup>System and select the Global Disable option in lieu of Tape Type for monitoring. This will stop your delay problem.

If I understand it correctly, Tape Type monitoring allows you to use cubase to monitor your levels before recording in lieu of your soundcard's monitors or an external monitor. It does however cause that annoying delay.

Hope this helps.

I have a similar problem !

I can't get 'any' sound out off mine.
I have had it working before but uninstalled it and now when I have re-installed..... NO #@#@ing SOUND.

I know it must be something to do with my system setup, but what? I had the same problem when I first loaded the program, I did manage to sort it out then but it has got me beat this time.

Can anyone please help

This isn't necessarily related, but I noticed you only have 64mb of memory. GET MORE! It's cheap and will definately be advantageous! Get as much as you can.

I'm making a guess that you need to enable audio. Go to Options>Audio>Enable Audio.
