Hey thanks for taking the time to read this. I've recently purchased some decent mics/software/hardware thanks to advice from people on this board and now im wondering what do i need to do to get the best out of my recording space. Its basically a garage thats about 15 feet by 12. I dont have the means to build a control room so my intention is to record all the tracks in the garage, get them sounding workable, then take it back to my room for mixing/production. I'll be recording drums, vocals, guitars and bass and am fond of the modern heavy rock sound eg Rage Against the Machine, Incubus etc. On a tight budget, what is the best way to acoustically treat the room in order to make drums predominantly, and preferably other instruments too, sound good? I know very little about this area. please help. thanks.
