I just got a used Hosa PHB-184 from a friend last night. It's a 32 1/4" RTS in/out patchbay that is "half-normalled".

My question is: what exactly is "half-normalled", does that effect signal level?

Thanx

half-normaled patchbay: the signal path can be interrupted and redirected by inserting a plug into the destination jack (lower row), the source signal (upper row) can be monitored without interruption

A patchbay in itself is a passive piece of gear - it shouldn't affect your signal in any way.

Thanx SmegHead! :p

I knew about the signal path and interruption...I just did'nt know that's what it was called. Thankyou for clearing that up. :D
