newbie needs help

okay. i am an absolute beginner concerning all the topics here.

i made my first steps using a midi-keyboard, muse xl soundcard and my pc system (1,5 ghz 256 ram)
using
cubase vst 5, reason and some vst-plugs.
i also tried to record my guitar.

of course this is not working too well, concerning timing and synchronisation...

i guess thats due to my muse xl soundcard, hup?

so, i could use some advice about which card i should buy. (audigy? dmx6? ....)

What's wrong with the timing and sync? A better sound card will improve your audio but not softsynth latency.
