Thanx for any answer !

You should find everything you wanted to know, and didn't want but need to know, at this bbs.

You will want to familiarize yourself with the search function here to help you in addressing specific problems.

Of course, if the search engine isn't help just post away in the appropriate forum.

Welcome to your new addiction.

Heh heh. LOL, c7 :D

aqme,

you've pretty much found the site where most of that stuff is covered in the forums. I'm not sure if there is a site that spells it out really clearly anywhere, though.

There are, however, several good books that will get you into the details of the basics. Pretty much any home recording book will do the deed.

And Cy isn't kidding! I'm completely addicted to thsi place. :D I've learned more about recording here that any other place- with the sole exception of my studio where I practice to cool stuff I pick up here.

Welcome aboard!
Chris

...Your search has ended, brother.

Sure you'll find other sites to supplement this one (www.prorec.com, www.harmony-central.com, etc.), but as Cyrokk said, welcome to your new addiction.

I wanna' know where I can find a site where people sit around talking about gear they don't own . . . pick on newbies . . . rip on Behringer gear . . . complain about spamming . . . make smartass comments . . . post okay-sounding mixes . . . bother us all with dumb questions . . . wonder why they don't sound like Joe Satriani, or why their mixes don't sound like Butch Vig's or Rick Reuban's . . . ask what sound card they should buy like 100 times . . . and call Chessrock an idiot . . .

Oh that's right. Silly me.

Thx everyone !!
hmm just one little more question about this last post, is there also , stuff about recording ( not mixing ), like volumes of recording , where the peaks have to stop etc...
Thax again everyone !!

where can i see the db when i record on Cool edit ??

In CEP the VU meter is at the bottom of the screen. I think you have to turn it on in VIEW, MONITOR VU LEVEL

....as you can see, this is the place to have your questions answered. theres lotsa helpful people in here:D

Just click your heals together and repeat after me, Dorothy: "There's no place like home."
