Just a noob trying to figure things out. fyi, The techno vernacular kills my braincells but im trying to retain the info. esp. specs and models

I will have the bluemic yeti and Acoustica Mixcraft 4 Multitrack Audio MIDI Recording Software (Standard) in a few days.

im just looking to create some songs (hip hop vocals) over beats on my toshiba PC and burn a CD or post them up on the web.

am i missing any components? do i need a studio monitor for this? or is that at the next level?

any help would HELP.
thanks to all.

You should be once you get a mic preamp and an audio interface (you can actually get interfaces that have mic preamps built in, check the link at the bottom of the page). Just do your best, get a feel for recording, and do your best to make a groove for yourself and get into it.

And try not to suck ;)

Do this and you'll be golden ;)

Still curious.
Why not 5?
It's a marvelous improvement and if you just bought Mixcraft 4 recently, the upgrade is free.
So, why not 5?
You'll love it. :)
