Oh and also i dont really know how to use compressors properly i think im using them wrongly and maybe im not even using any of the plug-ins properly omg.

I understand you have assignments and deadlines but if the above is true stop and take a step back.
Look for some basic, but reliable, tutorials on how the basic audio tools work.
If possible, get a tutorial on youtube for the avid/digidesign dyn3 compressor. It's particularly good at showing what's happening on the visual display.
I found it made compression very easy to understand.
Eqing is straight forward enough but if you're not 100% sure what all the functions do, get a youtube tutorial...Again, from somewhere reliable.
Same goes for any other plugs you might be using.
Also, keep it simple. If you can't get a good mix with basic eq, comp, reverb, volume and panning only, there's a problem.
Your tutors will appreciate what you've done.

If you don't fully understand the tools, you might find you've been hitting a screw with a hammer.
