Alright guys, get ready.

MY SoundBlaster Audigy and Tascam US-122 don't get along well.

Ever since I installed the Tascam, it has muted my poor SB and I can't unmute it! How am I supposed to hear what I record if my speakers don't work I wonder??

Anywhos, does anyone have a solution to this dilemma?

Some helpfull info:

PC: Sony Vaio PCV-RZ (Media Setup)
Processor: Two Pentium 4 HT's running at roughly 3.0 Ghz
USB Controller: Generic Sony USB bus
RAM: 1 GB of PC-3200 DDR ram
Graphics Card: Radeon 9800 Pro w/ 512MB onboard memory
OS: Windows XP Media

I am using SonicStage Mastering Studio as my recording/editting program.

EDIT: Meant to post this in the noob section but goofed that up somehow too... :(

Usually, you can only have one soundcard active at one time. But, you can switch back and forth rather easilly.

Start, Settings, Control Panel
Administrative Tools, Computer Management
Device Manager, Sound, video, and game controllers

Enable the one you want to use, (right click) diasable the other. Switch back later... any time you want.

And, like the other one said... just use the outs on the Tascam... no need to switch back and forth unless you feel you reeeeeeeealy need that Audigy.

Problem is, (and I looked at what you suggested), I do have my soundcard disabled. In fact, that SB is the only soundcard I have. There has got to be something else.

You're us122 is now your sound card. Make sure the soundblaster is disabled.
