Wow!

Always liked Vox--though they aren't my favorite--but I never thought it was deserving of a documentary!

I'll have to check this out.

I love a good documentary. I'm a bit wary when comedians host them or narrate them because too often, the emphasis is on their comedic sarcasm and I rarely find them funny. Still, thanks for the heads up, I'll watch it even if Graham Norton hosts it !
By chance I caught an interesting one last month called "The making of 'Magical mystery tour'" followed by the film. I'd never seen the movie before. It was truly awful except for the sequence leading up to and including 'Flying'.

It seems that I can't watch it here in the states. But damn it, now I want a superbeatle again. I have wanted one since 1969 when I got to play through one in a recording studio. GRrrrrr!

Those were the most awesome amps ever!! In one band, the guitar player and I played through the same amp, while my bass amp was in the hospital.

Nothing compares to the Superbeatle!!

I played my bass through the Superbeatle too. I wish that I still had that bass. It was a cheap violin shaped Black Jack semi hollow body bass. I traded it and my bass amp for a Honda Super 90 motorcycle. Ah, the stupid thing we do in when we are young.

That program was LAST YEAR! Not 2012
Well Sssshhhhpotted, young Jonesssshhh !

Graham Norton is a comedian?
By stretching the technical definition to the utmost, not in terms of the actual reality.

On a related note, BBC2 did part one of a two part documentary on the Rolling Stones called "Crossfire hurricane" last saturday. Part two is this coming saturday. Unfortunately, it clashes directly with the series finale of CSI Miami and 'Match of the day'. Fortunately I have Sky and freeview and have rigged them up to independent videos for moments such as these.......

The doco is on Youtube i 2 parts - it's OK but not much more than that - too much emphasis on Brian may for me - & I was a Queen fan for the 1st 4 LPs.
