Hello all,
My first post as I have only just started recording.
Bought a used FD8 and have been rocording the band I am in. Started off by recording a guide track to Track 1 then we each laid down a new track of own own whilst lsitening to the guide track.
We recorded drums, lead vocal, bass, lead guitar, rythm guitar and backing vocal. The problem I am getting is that on some of the tracks there seems to be bleed through of either the backing track or one of the other tracks even though only the fresh recording track was armed.
I assumed that this should not happen and it has even happened when I have switched the backing track off during a recording - when the vocalist was doing his part but monitoring all the fresh instrument tracks so the guide track was not needed at this stage.
Any way, any one had similar problems when they started out?
Please be gentle with me as I am a novice at this and it isn't the only problem I am getting either - but more of that when this part is sorted ( or not as the case may be!)
Thanks for any advice or guidance.
