New tune-Idea

Can't wait to hear this one finished. The vocals have to come up a bit and the drums might be a little too compressed. But I always love that dead drum sound you get...Classic rock at it's best. This reminds of a few tunes without sounding too much like one in particular. Reminds me of an Allman Brothers tune, not sure what it's called..."Silver Dollar" or "Midnight Rider" or something. Great stuff Nak, as usual.

Nice to hear something from you again, it's been a while.

Yeah very Crosby Stills Nash & Young sounding. Agree about raising the vocals. The vocals and ac gtrs are very well performed - the song's got personality. The mix sounds a little muffled. It'd be interesting to hear a mix with no compression.

Thanks man.

The tune was done kinda quick.

I had the idea of how it should be, so I recorded it this evening.

I`m not to keen about the drumsound yet, I have a friend who`s willing to lay down some tracks.

I will probbably redo most of it.

It was fun tune to do though, I find it kinda hard to record\make Joyfull tunes like this one :D

I just had to try posting tunes again.

Anyways Thanks for your input man

Thanks Tim, I`ll probbably end up making another mix\and recording.
Perhaps my new band might be intrested in doing this tune :)
We need something cheerfull :D

I hear ya on the main intro riff.... :D

Nice vibe to it man...Way cool. I like the tune. Vox are a bit quiet though....Can't wait to hear it all shined up. I'm sure you'll make it kick even more ass..... :D

Hey man, the tune sounds real nice. The guitars are played real nice. :)

Hey the bass sounds good even on the cheap work headphones.

Didn't hear a solo. Maybe I was just too engrossed in the song that I didn't notice much till it was done. And I mean that in a good way. :)

Rock on.

Update

I`ve jsut did a short remix.
Beefed the bass a bit, upped the vox, and lost loads of the compression on the Mixdown.

Great Tune Nak - reminds me of something that the Beatles, CSNY or the Band would do.

The opening riff is similar but doesn't last long enough to worry about it.

Cool vocal harmonies throughout.

I would increase the tempo a bit on this one - just to give it some more drive - that's just my preference though.....

Glad to hear a new tune from you - is this your new band playing or is it just you?

Good One!

:) :D :) :D

Hey man sounds cool on the home theater system.

Two suggestions: Kick sounds a little overpowering. Maybe lower by 2dbs.

In the chorus ("need to get far") in the backup vox, the word "far" would sound really cool with some sustain. For example drawn out and maybe a little fader riding on your verb unit to make it more wet. :)

Otherwise sounds really cool. :)

Thanks buddy..

It feels good posting again, its like an Addiction :D

I was thinking about the tempo, I think I recorded it around 65 or something, maybe get it up a bit more.

Btw This is all me by myself.

I`m hoping to redo this one.

I`m in the middle of redoing loads of the other tunes I`ve posted before with my new band.

we`ve allready done some rehearsal takes, and it sounds promissing.

Its so nice finally having a stable band, who all maintain a proffesional attitude.

thanks again buddy.

Glad you like it Bubba, I agree on the kit not being perfectly balanced, its hard getting the kit to sit right with accoustic tunes.

The harmonies needs more work I agree with you.

thanks again mate

Nak, better. I'd still like to hear it with more Nak Attack, if ya know what I mean..... ;)

I think the mix is shaping up well, but I can picture, or hear, this with more volume, snap to it. Maybe compress teh entire mix, and bring the volume up, to give it a bit more punch. Not too much, but maybe a little....

The Nak Attack is BACK! Yeah love this man, fits right in with some classic rock favs. Great vocals/voice too!
I agree with Captain Dogman, could use a little more punch. Especially on the snare and acoustic IMO. The bass sounds good on my system, maybe too much kick on the drums.

Okay here's my bad suggestion: have a pretty laid back guitar solo to start with, then it builds up into this wild guitar + synth solo, then it drops back down to the laid back part and laid back vox. Guess I'm thinking of Boston's "Hitchin' a Ride there"

Anyway, my point is that some kind of solo would sound cool to break it up a bit. Cheers man, good song
