You mean like a rolling rack case, or do you mean like a piano dolly? :D

hi, I would prefer something that does not roll

I just want something 19 inches that has ventilation from below and above..and signifiicant space from below..
something that has holes in it..I can't explain it right now. but the Avalon has to breate top and bottom, it can't be laying on something that prevents the Avalon from being able to stay cool. I am looking for this gear on line...and will call some people. I recommend Avalon VT 747...

Just center-mount it in a 4-space rack. SKB makes some nice ones.

And Mid Atlantic makes some really nice vented rack panels :)

thankyou for your help,

thankyou for your help.
I do have another question I hope that I can explain this correctly or coherently.
I have this desk that I bought at staples. I put my gear on it. It is glass and metal. I like it because it looks nice.
I took the glass off of one of the shelves that is connected to the main part of the desk ( on the side of the main part).
I then mounted the Avalon 747 on the metal after removing the glass so it lays on the two strips of metal and the middle of the Avalon is just totally exposed from the bottom. My question is; is this bad for the Avalon for it to have the weight on back and front of it only and not on the whole machine?
I am not an expert with recording or recording gear yet, so please if you understand what I saying please respond.
Thanks again,

Mariesa

*Most* rack gear is constructed to have it's weight supported by the front panel. Certain larger pieces (power amps and the like) may require rear support also.

would it be bad for the machine

yes, I see what you are saying..I see this in the front of the machine...
in this situation, I have the machine sitting on two metal strips..it is also being supported in the back..would that hurt the machine? I know this sounds like a silly question...but what do you think.

No, if it is being supported from both the front and the back, it should be fine. That is one more support point that it would typically have if it was simply racked using the front panel only.

I love Mid Atlantic. Our rack stuff looks so good in their mounts.
