Hey! Not to long ago i purchased a MOTU 896hd. I made my own little studio in my house and these are the first real songs that I have mixed down for my brothers band. There is more but I picked these 2 to upload onto the internet. I am still learning so much more every day, I would like some of your guys feedback on my songs. How could I improve them in any way?

The bands name is Crooked Faces
My Vibe
Frye Road

Thanks a lot guys!

One thing you could do is not have everything panned to the center. Another is not sing so close to the mic, and get a pop filter. Thats "My vibe" anyway. The other has some bad clipping on the bass. It sounds like you did this all in one take and live. Thats fine, if thats the sound you are going for. But if you want a studio quality sound, you should stop recording to change channels on guitar and put it on a separate track.. Otherwise, I thought the quality of the clean guitar was good, but the distorted sounded quite distant. I liked the songs. They were cool.

My Vibe:
Guitars seem to be dominating the vocals. Your vocalists need to take more time on getting their timing right. Sounds sort of loose. And they're off pitch a bit.
The guitars do sound nice.

Frye Road:
Can't hear the vocals at all. Is there kick drum? Snare sounds ok. Bass is way too hot and is clipping.
Again the guitars are nice.

thanks a lot guys! ill take it back into the studio and see what i can do! Ill keep you posted with the songs when i finshed them!
