New to recording need some guidance :)

Hey all.. I dont have much info on me now but i can get it if needed. Basically I have sonar home studio software and a boss digital mixer. I am trying to get the midi files onto my sonar software. I have a audio box (not sure of name, but it plugs into comp and has mic and guitar jacks, and i also have a direct usb1 (somethin like that) which connects directly to my comp with 2 midi ouput cords from it. (one labeled in and one labeled out) My mixer has one midi port on the back of it. How do i get the files onto sonar file. I know this is a weak post as far as info, but if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it. i can supply more info if needed too. ty

i have a boss -br-532 with live music saved on it.. i have a midi uno 1x1 adapter, a m-audio pre usb, and a HP pavillion. i got what i need i think i just cant get the tracks over to sonar or into sonar. please help lol

You'll probably have to bounce the midi files down to audio.

Don't know if I fully understand your question but if I do...then I will just say that MIDI files are not audio.
