LE versions of Cubase have a limited amount of times you can use the MP3 encoder. Then you have to purchase the license for it. $16 HERE.

It definitely makes it easier to do it within Cubase, but not necessary.

If you can find a download of MAGIX Samplitude Pro Silver it is free forever as is the MP3 encoder which can also be adjusted over the whole range of quality versus file size.

But is there not an encoder in win 7 Media centre? I must have a look because there was a very good one in the "xp" WMCEd.
