I might be all over the place with this but here goes....I just decided to try and learn alittle bit about recording on my computer. Ive been using analog and digital Tascam Portastudios for a while now, but I figured Id try and learn about as much as I can about all aspects of recording. I have ACID Pro 7, and N-Tracks 6.. Im confused about using plug-ins. I have Ampli-tube metal for an amp simulator.. Now, when I try to use the plug-ins that came with Acid, I can't hear them in real time. Im trying to use distortion..But it only seems like I can only add distortion after the fact of recording.. I cant hear the distortion in real time....i let my brother use my line 6 amp for a few days which is why Im using amp simulators, but i got some ideas i need to get down..If there's any help anybody can give me it would be greatly appreciated..
