I've been using and AWE64 card on my old WIN98 system...just upgraded to a Pentium 4 1.6G. I've been looking at Creative Labs Audigy series but would love some input on what I should get.

I use MTDeluxe as my notation package and don't want to loose the my music's compatibility with the AWE64 Sound fonts.

Thanks,
Starwood

I guess it would depend on what you do with the card. I have an Audigy - check out my recent post on getting the damn thing to record under XP. Up till now I have not been using MIDI or Soundfonts with it, its just in a system I use for doing stuff like copying cassttes to CDR. Its a good game card but not a great recording card, limited to 16 bit / 48K recording. But if your analog recording needs are modest and you want to use Soundfonts, it might be fine for you.

Thanks and I will check out your post on the Audigy....I do need a good card for composing...womething with extraordinary font capabilities....
thanks Starwood
