Hi all, please check out my tunes and let me know what ya think. I recorded them all myself. I am a lot happier with these recording's than my last but my guitar sound still doesn't come out thick enough in my recordings.imho Thanks everyone. Joe

If I remember you correctly, these were recorded on a 788?

Going by memory, this does sound better than your earlier recordings.. It sounds like your still using that Digitech? If so, that's the problem with the guitar sound.. The older Digitechs dont have the best cabinet emulation so the distorion has that direct sound to it.. I have a 2112 that I only use for effects and sometimes clean tones..


Anyway, I listened to 'happier now.' Good song.. has some elements of Pantera.. Maybe you shouldn't pan the vocals quite soo wide.. I think it would sound better if you bring them a little closer to the center..

A better guitar sound in the heavy parts, and a vocal re-mix would help the sound a lot..


What happened to all the 788 users that were around last year??
 
good mix. I like the kick and bass. The guitar tone sounds good, lacks a little warmth in the center of the sound but its cool. Is there a hifreq resonation going on in there somewhere. Might just be my ears though. Cool singing, i like a little crispier to bring out the articulations a bit.
