Hi

I like the playing. I think the sound is too far back so I would cut a bit on the reverb but maybe it's just me. Nice playing.

/Jack Real.

Yes the playing is nice but the guitar is too distant, and it lacks a certain fullness that to me is essential in capturing classical guitar playing! :)

The playing's very nice IMO, and it's a catchy composition that would probably come off well on a steel string gtr also. :)

Parts sound kind of piezo-ish. Wait, isn't the "Aura" a guitar modeller that you go into with a piezo? Let me check here... [Googling...]... yep it is. Well, that's pretty good if it's a piezo and it only sounds like a piezo some of the time, heh-heh. But I think the sonority is a bit lacking in realism and the 3 dimensional qualities that classical guitar can have in a decent room with good mic's.

Just listened too to the Ed Gerhard demo on the Fishman Aura site... I realize they're different guitar types but your tune sounds much less piezo-ish to me than his does... they should get your clip up on their site instead. :D

Any particular reason you didn't use mic's?

Tim

I record for about 6 or 7 years with mics, but I guess I'm preferring the Fishmanaura for now. Esp in a home-recording environment. The sound is consistent...and I am not sure if there's any cd out there where the classical guitar sounds really good. It's so hard to capture that sound. Mostly the sound is to thin or unrealistic. IMHO the aura is better (as a compromise at least)....
