Yeah vocals could use a better "seating" in the mix. But there are bigger issues... a couple of spots in the guitar intro were shaky. Like the player messed up but kept the take. That guitar solo throughout could've used some more practice or arranging before cutting the track. The dual vocals were good in places but at other spots you could tell it wasn't two of the best and most identical takes. TONE on the distorted guitar parts was thin to me. May want to work on that. It was a good effort. How long did this song take you to record/mix?
chris ........it was all one takes...so not a lot of time was spent...the vocals have to be done over..and the guitar.......how would i get a better sound,tone,etc?..thx
It's a pretty good tune. Here are my thoughts. There is some clicking here and there. The arrangement is screaming for drums. Lyrics are pretty repetitious. It gets pretty quiet at the end, but it doesn't really fade out.
Rockerbob thx.....the clicking is my chet atkins spanish guitar..i dont know how ro get rid it..the clicking...i will add drums....more lyrics will have to be added..i cant think of any :0
EQ can help your guitar sound better. Also, it sounds like it was recorded direct from a preamp or line out of an amp. If you didn't mic the cabinet, do it.
