Just wanted to let you guys hear something I made on my TASCAM 244 recently. Not bad for a cassette recorder, eh ? ;)

That's really great. I see you're getting your feet wet in 4-tracking on the 244! Sounds really good! Great performance!;)

Yeah, I'm trying to get as much as I can from the 244 and reserve the other heavier "artillery" for other, more important jobs .. ;) :D

Dave, you really should put up some more "Analog" tunes on your site! Always a joy to listen to!! :) The site needs more "updates" tho. You also should make a "signature" to appear with your every post with a link to your NWR site. Just a suggestion .. :)

As an aside, I noticed that some parts get a bit burried in the mix. Now, I think the dynamics of my voice are fine and so I don't want to compress and that the balance of music and voice are good but still I would like those "parts" to be more clear. Which frequencies should I take out from the backing track ? The lower ones ? Any other advice re this issue ?

Unfortunately, no, I did not write it .. it's not mine. I just used a backing track of an original and put a vocal to it. :eek: ;)

The voice is mine though .. :) :D
