Here's another song from the demo I'm recording for a band called Ralston. It's called Surface This is the first mix, I think the bass guitar needs to come down a little. See what you think.

The first one is still up too (Adapasier) with some mix changes.

I actually like this mix, man. As far the bass being up, it totally kicks ass that you've been able to get it up in the mix without oversaturating the low mids.

And yes, I'm a fan of phasers on gits, lol.

I wish he'd resing the first :20 seconds of the song.

Thanks chris

I hear ya bout the low mids. We've had this discussion somewhere before.......hmmmmmm ;) I've been making that a major focal point during tracking so I don't have to eq so much. Seems to be working.

I like the mix except for the kick. The vocals seem to need a little presence too.

It could definitely be rounder/fatter... but try not to sacrifice the bass :D - That part's PERFECT.

I really thought the tracking/mix of the vocal was spot on for this, but you can always run it through the C4 if you're mixing inside the box at all.

Sounded pretty well balanced to me.

There were two spots where a lead gtr did a little riff (~1:15 and ~1:25) and I wished I could have heard it more clearly, seemed like it was kind of a muffled tone. The rhythm gtr tone was great.
