Sounded good, but the vocal is a little dark and the strings have a little too much reverb. It is a really nice arrangement.

I agree with chandlerhimself's comments. Especially the reverb. I'd change to maybe a medium room and back way off the amount you're using.

The bass has a bit of muddiness I think. Maybe just a small cut somewhere around 300hz? Maybe another one a little lower - somewhere around 100hz? It might keep it at a more consistent level too.

Some weird background noises in the 2:40's.

Oh and my reverb comment goes for the vocals as well as the strings.

Thanks very much for the listen and comments guys!..much appreciated!......Ill go back and tweak the vocals and strings. Backen off on the reverb then. Will try and do that tonight!.....thanks again!!!:thumbs up:

Good song, well written.

I'm hearing a bit too much brightness in that "pesky" region...5-8kHz....so you might roll that off a bit or de-ess.

AFA the reverb, I think it has too much of an hollow room sound. Either go for a hall, which will be more diffused, but dial the level back, or just go more dry and no reverb....whatever your taste.

Thanks for the listen and words Miroslav:thumbs up:
Mix has now been tweaked.
No reverb on Vox, also been Eq'd to brighten it up a little.
Bass also Rolled off the low end.
And violins are now totally dry, only verb on them is from my large-ish room where they were recorded!

How is it sounding now ?
Many thanks for all your time and ears:listeningmusic:

Yeah...sounds better.

What kind of room are you doing your tracking in?
I can still hear the room a bit, and it has that small/empty room vibe. You might want to treat it some more to room that from the room as it's not IMO adding to your sound in a good way....otherwise it's pretty good overall.

Thanks Miroslav....well its my lounge...joins onto my studio,,but its like over 20 foot long, 18foot wide, and wood floors, its an old Barn! Dont think the mrs would appreciate acoustic foam everywhere!

Try setting up an area for doing the vocals at least....using some kind of gobo/iso setup to take out some more of the room.
