Forget Barry White. Listen to some Lambchop and write some lyrics for this one and do it. Really nice.

One impression. You got all those synth sounds going on in the mix, and yet the electric guitar is the most upfront element in the whole thing.

If you add a vocal, that'll help sort everything out. Still, how can you deal with that real guitar with all those canned sounds?

heheh ,This is going to be interesting. A dominant melodic part running over this like singing or some horns may bring this on out. I`d never have imagined you coppin this feel. :)

p.s. that some damn good wahwah doc..

Thanks Toki and Dobro

In regards to the guitar; I'll have to bring it back into the mix.
I think it's a natural tendency(for me anyway) to bring to the fore
the parts I'm most proud of, or I put the most into. In this case I added the guitar after everything else was done and thought it came out pretty good, then I mixing it too high.
It might need some chorus or flange to blend it with the synths better.

Cool groove! I DID expect Barry himself to slide in baratone style and make a few pronouncements at the top! Gotta get a singer and a melody to cap this one off.

No, no, no....keep that geetar where it is! (sorry dobro)
Actually dobro has a point. Maybe you get more body out of the synth instead. That guitar sounds so good, and it carries the groove. I'd hate to hear it come down. Love that guitar.
Cool stuff. Now write some ridiculously cheesy lyrics and slap some vocals on that sucker.

Pretty cool, needs a lead part (melody, singing whatever) to fill it out.

Cool man! Do you listen to The High Llamas? This reminds me of some of their stuff (you did mention Brian Wilson)

Very cool grove and I really like how you used those BW chord progressions on there. Would sound great with some soaring vocals!

Very nice stuff!

One thing I did notice towards the end of the song is there are some keys that come in very hot. They sound a little out of place, like they should be mixed a little farther back. Other than that, this sounded good over here.

:D

High Llamas? Yes I love a lot of their(it's mostly one guy) songs.
Except they really wack you over the head with the influences.
