hey everyone!

first time here and wanted to say wow! awesome forum!

i was thinking of buying a new pc:

AMD 5200+ X2 64BIT Dual-core Processor AM2 Boxed
ASUS M2A-VM Hdmi Socket M2
2x PREMIUM 1024MB DDR2 PC6400 800MHZ Value Series
WESTERN DIGITAL 250GB-KS 16MB SATA300 7200RPM

i wanted to connect this to two AKG 3000 and something like a Behringer BCA2000 to record a grand piano.

first of all, is this a good pc to do so could i go better with other parts like a better processor? and would intel c2d be better than amd for example for recording?

and the mikes? are the akg's good for cd quality recordings for a piano or is there anything better or about the same for this price range?

and what about the soundcard? i only know of this one but there should be many out there...what do you recommend? i need something for only 2 mikes and usb or firewire connection for the pc...

any help would be much appreciated cause i'm kind of new to all of this!!

thx a lot!!:)

Aight your motherboard is wack. Cept for the HDMI card but it takes up a PCI slot. You need to get another sound card if you get this motherboard. You can get by with the one you got but I mean, if your working on recording then you should probably worry about that. It even says "Warning: may not display 1080 smoothly when playing HDD DVD and Blue Ray Disc due to the current version player limit." Not sure if you read that but there you go. And you don't have that many PCI slots. If anything up the motherboard man. But I mean hell, check the avatar, there is only one way you will be able to please me.:p
