Looking for insight to improve please

Cool beat. The kick sounds cool but it hits like a horse while the bass sounds shy. Might try bringing down the kick and bringing up the bass, see how that sits. Like your stuff, do you just do backing tracks or do you do/work with emcees too? Would be cool to hear what this sounds like with a voice.
 
Awesome! Good tip man ill definitely be keeping that in mind next time i mix my drums.
