Does anybody have any information on roland's new guitar style midi controller, the ax-7? It's supposed to be an updated model of their original ax-1.

Roland AX7???

I dont know anything about a AX7 but as a matter of fact the AX1 is actually is out of production from roland last I heard ,like they dont make them any more,so I dont understand why they would make a newer version if the AX1's aren't being sold. Enlighten me if I'm wrong.

I do own the latest version ,the AX1B which is the black model and it is alot of fun.The ribbon slide is fun to goove to a beat with when playing a B1 patch . I usually use it when playing a lead organ part/sound with the band.

It features a sustian button behing the neck , a ribbon slide pitch change ribbon on the neck ,it just like the Korgs trinties have . octave up and down button, and verible patch slections. And when using one hand is not a problem since the bass player holds down the lower end anyways.
I paid about 485.00 shipped and brand new about a year ago.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Zad

If you go to www.keyboardshop.com and look under news, it shows you that they have announced it. It must be brand new, cause i can't find it any other place on the net.
