I recorded my friends' band. I think this song came out pretty good. I'd love to hear comments on how it came out, what else I can do better, and what I could change in this mix.

I clicked the link - sorry but it does not work...

I will check back and try the new link if ya fix it up11

pretty good, but...

the lead guitar is WAY too loud - it completely drowns the vocals(among others). the kick-drum lacks some bottom - boost it at 60-80hz a few db. the rythm guitar sounds pretty good to me, but as the song progresses I can't make it out anymore :)
the bass? can't reallt make it out either. lower the lead guitar and post another one!
I'm sorry I can't ellaborate more, but I'm in a rush :)

I think that this could develop into a nice piece of music. There were some elements to the song that I liked.

Some observations on the mix...

The "lead" guitar (the one hard panned left unless I have my headphones on backwards, in which case it was hard right :D)was a little out of tune. Not sure if there were mistakes in the part or if what I heard was intentional.

Some pitchiness in the vocals. Gotta watch the performance and make sure you're hitting the notes. Quite a few plosives. Doubled vocals would work well on this type of song. Harmonies would be nice too.

The guitars are taking up a lot of "space." There is not much room for the vocals to come through.

Kind of "falls off the table" at the end.

Keep working on the song.

I ditto these comments...hard left guitar WAY too loud

not a bad composition at all. Just needs work in the production

doubling vocals would help fill them out, harmonies would be cool

sometimes it seems the drums are doing too much work ( too complicated) and with small timing problems in the fills

not bad singing, but towards the end the singer is possibly out of his range in the high end

Is the drummer experienced? the mellow part at the end it seems like the song is chill but the drummer is going off...know what I'm saying? Drummer should chill out a little on that part

The link doesn't seem to work for me either?

Is there a link without the direct mp3 file? Tripod seems to have an issue with this direct link according to the page that comes up.

Cheers! :)
