First off- yes, it is in 13. I shit you not.
And kristian: I told you not to try to count!
But if you must:
There were 3 equal-length sections that consisted of 6 bars of 13/4 each, then that weird ending which was arhythmic.
I'd print out the score and show you but I haven't got any notation software that works. Tried Finale and can't for the life of me figure out how to make it print anything resembling music notation. Way too many complex menus that affect inconsequential aspects of the notation and no simple templates with "standard" music notation. I'm not trying to lauch a space shuttle, just print out a page of music.
Second, I do respect whatever definition of music that you care to apply. It's your mind and your ears, so why not?
But I think this piece definitely has a melody, a bit of harmony and a very hard-to-grasp rhythm. The free-verse feeling was intentional despite the constraints of the time signature.
