I'm sure you've all noticed that if you lift both of your negative speaker leads, but keep them tied together (like a poor headphone sleeve connection), that some parts of the music "disappear" and others become more obvious.
I'm wondering if this could be used to analyze the recording/mixing techniques of song you might be trying to emulate (rip off). In other words, does this reveal which parts are recorded in stereo or mono, or any tricks used in the recording that you don't catch when listening normally?
Any ideas?
