Made of rubber...
Hey all. This is a song i wrote with a friend and local musician in my area. I have never co-written a song in this way before so this was a new experience for me. Brian came up with the music in the verse and chorus and showed it to me. He said it reminded him of walking around a lake in our area called Heart Lake at night. So I wrote words for it and came up with the bridge part and arranged it. These are some of my more etherial lyrics to date. Im trying to step out of my story telling box and go for imaging instead. What do you think?
Advice on the song itself only please as this is just a quicky live take. We will be recording a better version soon.

Whispers and clouds,feel the moss down on the ground
Smelling the salty sound, and a love burned up on the reef of the pain Ive found
Color of night, blackened by the blows of time
See what Ive done thats right, through the shattered spectacles of hindsight
TOO LATE TO GO ASK WHY...
I can not see just how, you would pollute this place
Baptized and made to drown, wash off the blackest taste
The dam is broken now, the blood has all escaped
All my love poured out, out of my heart shaped lake.
I-dont - close -my -eyes
Because- it- wont -disguise
The way ............we change...…
Puddles and mud, reminders of what we had thats gone
with it all washed the flood, in the last few pumps of my heart beating out its blood.
A leaf out of place, I am but one breath up in space
Gone in an endless sky like the ripple caused by a tear that dissapates.
TOO LATE FOR US TO CHANGE..
