Sounds pretty good man. I would bring the drums up a little. They sound like they're in a different room than everything else. I really like sound of the vocal on this. And your voice fits well with the guitar sound IMO. Blends nicely.
I'd like just a little more space between the guitars. Once you do that, IF you do, you maybe decide to apply a bit more reverb to fill in the new found space. Do so carefully.
I think a fuller drum sound is the main thing lacking here. It just doesn't feel like part of the band.

Cool vibe on this. I'd like to hear just a few more instruments getting creative along-side the guitars.

Great tune!

Tom

thanks sluice

This is in early development so tips like yours are very welcome.
I will try that.
How's your collab goin BTW?

Love the guitar sounds, but as previously mentioned the drums are either too low in the mix or have all the bottom end eq'ed out. I'd like to hear a big punchy rythm track.

Great start!

I'm listening on headphones so that could be part of the problem.

Oh yea...I like that much better! Now the drums sound like they're somewhere near the guitar players. It sounds full, but I can clearly distinguish between the two gits.

I just A/B'd with the first one and it definitely confirms an improvement. The new one sounds fuller and yet more clear. I'll let someone else handle the nitpicky stuff. Good job.

Prozkgrl bkups

I called in a favour from Proz and got backup vocals on the 2 choruses!

..Crrreeeeedence..

Or is it mustang sally i am thinking of? Anyway this is very cool sounding blues. The vox be right on a litte far away for my tastes, i almost bumped my head into my monitor trying to choke up on em. The panning on this one has some weird effects going on for me in my room. I was getting a really hard left on the leads and the rhys on the hard right? It gave me a super-surroundsound feeling. Good tasty blues licks.

thanks

Komp that was sluice's suggestions on the mix, but it definitely needs one more remix.

s_critic did you read the whole post:)
that vocal does need another go.

hell yeah! This is that macho sound I was talkin about in your other thread. I love the picking off the backbeats like that. It`s got mean sounding rythym to it, and it don`t take many parts to pull it off. I haven`t heard this style in a long while, I love it. I like the lyrics too, I think there is a touch of low mids that would bring the vocals on out some more for you. A bit cloudy, but I`m doing lo-fi today. the 56k aint as good as it was earlier this a.m.

oh yeah, pee on that troll leaning against the post runnin his mouth too! He probly is real ugly with nice fake boobs.

Like it

Kinda like Creedence with an up tempo. Hope you take this as a compliment...I love Fogerty. Rock on!!!

bdkid and Tok

I shouldn't have posted a unpracticed vocal but you know how it is when you write something new and you just got ta show it to someone.
super_critic is really rattling the cages around here
I bet five cyberloonies that he never posts music.......
any takers?

If he does, he's going to get a lot of "constructive" criticism. For one thing, his voice better sound like fucking Pavoratti.

I'm sorry, Hevy, got caught it up in bashing Super that I forgot to offer my thoughts. I thought this was a real unique take on this swampy blues genre. The vocal was great, a lot of feeling there. The guitars had a nice tone (Strats?). Overall nice mix.

ashulman

strats all the way buddy.
although I watched a documentary on CMT the other night re gibson guitarists and got pretty jealous!

Nice, my kinda stuff so I'm gonna be critical. The drums sound a little "cut n pastey" almost like there's a heavy gate on em, dunno if that's intentional but it kinda works anyway. reminds me a bit of "fun lovin criminals" in places. Bass drum could use a little definition. Nice blues chops, good geetar sounds too. Vocal sounds nice and suits well, but the sound is a little lacking in low mids perhaps.

If you want some different drums (not that there's anything wrong with em) I'd love to give em a go :)

Cheers,

Ian............

There was a thread in another forum ranking on the high cost of Les Pauls. $2500 is a little ridiculous. Nice guitars, fat sound, but give me a break.

collabing!

we should try different stuff, but over on the AC board.

thanx for the honest input:)
