new mobo what to do with HD?

I am getting a new mobo and processor, do I need to reinstall windows or will it all just seamlessly start whin i plonk the new motherboard in? i am due a backup, deletefest, and clean install anyway so it won't bug be much to do it. i am just curious if it is necessary.

Your Hd will be intact, no need for a reinstall WIN
although you will need to load the new drivers for the mobo, usb busses and such.

I just did the same thing, but I had to re-install XP. Otherwise the puter just sat there wondering what it was supposed to do. Everything seems to work just ducky though. I went from a P3 to an Athlon xp2700.

Yea, I am going from a P3-733 to an AMD 2500+. I am think it should be great, I hope I am not disappointed.
