New mixer

Hi!

I'm a drummer, and I and my band will record a demo soon. And I'm going to buy a new mixer, to homerecording. I wouldn't use so much money at this mixer. Around 400-600$. With not less then 8 mic inputs. Any examples of some mixers that I can buy?

If you Take a Look on E-bay you will find that Most Mixers are in your Price Range....You can even Pick up a 24 Track Behringer FX Unit for that price but you Might be better off getting a smaller High Quality Mackie Unit that has Firewire out so you can connect it directly into your PC for Recording....

Just Look for a Mixer that has enough Inputs and has the Features that you need and then Come back here and Post it and ask Opinions and I"m sure someone will Chime in and tell you if it is a Good one or not....

For recording you will also need more than Just a Mixer Like Mics and a Recording Interface and Software (if you are PC Recording) ect.....

I just bought a new mixer and its the best move ive made in my life.

Its an Alesis MultiMix 16 FireWire.
It lets you connect extremely fast and sharp using a new firewire protocol and records all the mics into seperate tracks all together.

Get your mics and this. Turn on your computer with everything hooked up, turn on the box and it aranges the program it comes with to your specific connections.

You get your mics ready and plug them all into the mixer and the box sends out all the connections throught the Firewire cable to your PC. Make sure you have a firewire port. If you dont have one go pic up a PCI card with one in it for around 15 bucks. Open up your computer with it turned off and plug it in the emty slot. thats it. Look up specifics online about that.

But its basically all you need for PC Recording
