New mix...Class song...please critique!

Hey everyone,

This is a song one of my friends wrote to be his senior class song. Tell me what you think of the mix and such.

Mix doesn't sound bad..

sorry I need to get some homework done and I don't want to be up too late.. or I'd give it a more detailed listen and critique.. but I guess that'll have to wait 'til later.

Song isnt too bad... a bit sappy, but thats ok in this case.
The singing itself needs a little work IMO... I think he could hit those notes with a little more power and emotion.
I would actually bring up the snare and tack on some reverb to it as well... just a taste.

All in all, the mix itself lacks sparkle. The acoustics are done decently, but you could definitely do better by pulling some clarity out of the song.

Example: Just did some quick and dirty EQ, reverb, clarity enhancement, and a touch of compression.

Pretty cool, I could see this as a class song. It needs a stronger "hook", most of them have one. The words are very good, me likey. The string patch isnt the greatest but it works. Drums are cool. Yeah, I like it and I think its a nice arrangement. I am not crazy about the abrupt end.

Could do with some sparkel & the hook does need tobe emphasized other wise they won't have anything hanging on their lips after hearing it.
Good though.
The only chant we had when finishing snr High School was the oone you make at the bar when buying a shout.
