Okay, well, I've fixed a bunch of the volume issues, like turning up the guitars, down the drums. I cleared out any effects and just have pure sound (save some reverb on the drums). I think it sounds better. I just deleted the other file and put the new one in...

SONG: JUST DON'T GET IT 2

I think easing into the drums and adding a dirty guitar are great ideas! thanks! I'll give those ideas a shot next. I was going for a low dynamic song here, so I guess I've got to make other things "sing" so to speak instead.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

I'm a diehard reverb slut, and I DO hear some needing to be added, besides the drums. The unision vocal lines bug me, especially panned in the same place. They distract, or divert my attention that something is different, but not musically better. Nice groove. I liked how you drop the ac gtrs out around the 2 min mark. I think that was a GOOD decision. Infact, you could have been even a little more drastic and dropped the bass out too...extend it longer.... or maybe it's good as is. Crispy vocals. Since I've seemed to have misjudged some EQ on stuff lately, I'll pass on whether it seems ok or not... Abrupt ending... ..and kinda an actually weird FIRST ac. gtr strum at the beginning of the song too. Kinda like an edit that might have been just a little "too" close. I'd take a B3, or something similar in the chorus to add drama...then back out. Preferred over the dbl'd vocals.

oh...I don't remember for sure, but it seems the drum kit was basically a snare and a low volume kick....plus some shakers. tom toms?

Hey mixmkr, thanks for the feedback.

I can always lose the double vocals...I'm not exactly understanding what it is you were talking about the guitars being too close in the beginning or the B3 in the chorus. are you refeering to the B3 Mic by Studio Projects? This entire song (except the drums) were recorded on the B1.

Any thing else out there? I think I've got one more shot at it and I'm going to let it be. Any feed back is great.

I was referring to the B3 Hammond organ... don't show your age, sonny!!

also..by too close, it sounds like the attack of the first note of the song was clipped by computer editing...just barely. .. like an edit "too close"

You're funny...I'll check the guitars with the clipping, but I don't recall that happening.

anything else out there?
