New meek (threeQ) or old meeks (Vcq3, Mq3)

I'm going to buy a meek. So, please don't suggest anything else as I'm well aware of other preamps.

I just want to get people's opinion of if I should go for the new 3q meek, or buy one of the older pro channels (vcq3, mq3 -actually, what's the difference between these?)

Do a search for meek 3q. We had a discussion about them here last week or so....

I have heard that about the new vs the last generation before the change (CS era), but what about going back to the older models?

My biggest fear is the whole Made In China thing. I know they have a lot more rigid quality control than the cheap companies, but still... there's something about that Made in the UK...
 
The MQ3 was made in China too. I've heard that it sounds very similar to the VC3 and VC3Q.
