New JV1010 w/Sonar and Q10 HELP!

I have the routing setup so that I can hear the sounds and can record the information into Sonar, but I cannot hear anything on playback. The gear is JV1010, Midi controller (only Midi In and Out), Aardvark Q10 and Sonar 2.0XL. My routing is JV1010-In to Midi controller-Out, JV1010-Thru to the Q10-In. This is the only way that I could route it to record properly. I have tried many possible routing configurations as well as software tweaks to hear playback but I have been unsuccessful. What am I doing wrong? Is there a driver that I have to download or is there a simple routing solution to my problem? First time Midi frustrations! Thanks for the help.
 
Disregard Post!!

I figured out that it was the crappy old timer Casio keyboard that I was using as the comtroller that was giving me Midi grief. I'm cool with the setup now after messing around with that stupid thing. Needless to say the Midi controller upgrade will happen tomorrow. Thanks all!!
