Hello, I'm Nick.

New to this forum for not really new to recording. Although I may aswell be considering how long it is since I've done any!

Just getting back into it after being asked to mix a demo for my mate's band.

Having to pretty much learn everything all over again though so I was looking around for advice/tips on the t'interweb and came across you guys.

Seems like there's some real knowlegeable people on here so hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things pretty quickly.

Pretty much just lurking for the time being but hope to be able to offer some advice in time.

Cheers.

Nick :drunk:

Howdy Nick, make your self at home no need to lurk around. Jump on in the waters fine.

Welcome Nick and have fun. Ain't nothing like a good lurk ! Thankfully.

Thanks fellas...

Well I took my first dip in and made a post and was put promptly in my place! lol

Oh well, I guess I just don't know as much as I thought I did! Fouor years at college clearly wasn't enough! Oh well, we're all here to learn I guess.

Na it wasn't that bad. compression as you said was the hardest thing you had to learn, so you got it a bit wrong, that's what the forum is all about and now you know! If that question comes up in the future you can be a big help to someone who will be in need.
And don't worry I've had my butt handed to me many times.

You can never know everything for then you would be omnipotent and have no need for a forum such as this one. The best thing is to get to know people here and have a good time as you learn the art of recording.
