New instrumantal recorded on BR-8...Comments welcome

Greetings all. I have really enjoyed listening to a lot of your tunes, so I thought I would put up another.

This one is an instrumental called Big "D". It's my tribute to the great guitar palyers Albert Lee and SRV.

It was recored with out any out boeard gear, preamps, or mics. I simply plugged into the BR-8 and used their COSM amps for everything. I hope you like it.

Hey David,

Nice tune, You can really jam. I thought that you could do more to beef it up. Maybe a nice straight jazz rythm of some kind in the background. Or a groovin bass...Just something else to fatten up the sound a little. I don't know much about recording (Iknow I know...so what the Heck am I doing here....) so I am probably not going to be much help here, But just thought I would comment anyway. I also thought there could be some tempo changes or a little more dynamics, to change it up a little.
Besides that I really dig it.

mgiles7, thanks a lot for the ear. I couldn't agree with you more. This is my first demo of the tune and I definately am on the same page. The 3 major changes I would like to see are:

1-A little faster tempo
2-Add a good bass line to round out or fatten up the overall mix, and
3-Add real drums. The drum machine on the BR-8 is pretty limited.

I hoping to get some good feed back on this tune because even though it's not perfect I think its got some potential.

I was just trying to check out some other Christian artist at www.iuma.com and noticed that my site or tunes were rated at #3 for TOP DOWN LOADS in the Christian Genre. That got me kind of excited. Thanks for any one who took the time to listen to some of my tunes. Really!! I hope you enjoyed them.

I plan on recording a lot more tunes but I just sold my Boss BR-8 and am waiting for the new Boss BR-1180CD to come out. So I might have to wait a while before I can record any more....It's driving me nuts. I've got so many ideas in my head...I've just got to record...I wouldn't have sold my recorder if I thought that it would take this long to get the new one. Oh well. Thanks again to everyone who listened and made any comments and suggestions.
