New Ibanez GSR bass bought

I'm a guitarist, but really like bass. So today I found a brand nbew Ibanez GSR Soundgear 205 (5 strings), blak, for 250 euro.
It's very nice and very good tone.
I will use it to play along with my own demo (n-track) made on my PC.
How do you suggest to record it? Should I buy a D.I. or may I use directly the mixer input to the soundcard?
Any suggestion?

if you dont wanna spend much, going straight into the board is very acceptable.......

alot of people like direct boxes like the Countryman DI or amp modelers like the J-Station or Bass Pod.......
