Hey all,

In the grand honor of your succinct and helpful critiques I am asking for feedback on a rap tune I produced for a colleague of mine. Basically I wrote/performed all the music and he laid down the flow, so to speak. He's submitting it to a local radio station for a contest so I was just seeing yer opinions on it... It was incredibly tough to mix and was a first time for me doing a complete hip hop type track (even though the influences were quite prevalent in my own music).

The Track is called "End of the Road (Featuring Plus)" and it's about 8 songs down here: http://www.ampcast.com/therealside

Thanks for the feedback!

For your first full hip hop track thats pretty good. I don't know if it's just my headphones but you may want to put the bass up some more, especially for the verses.

Well, actually on my sub, it comes through pretty loud, so I don't know if I should crank it, seeing as it would probably be played on bassy systems. Perhaps someone with a hifi stereo could elaborate as well?

Thanks for the feedback,

cool song man, vocals sound great. my main problem is with the beat as well. the snare sounds thin and the bass sounds low but distorted sometimes. i'm listening through headphones too but they are really high quality ones. The synths sound great though. if you could get that beat to stand out more "in your face" that would be sweet.
