Pretty fecking cool tune mang!
Not sure why, but the vox kinda remind me of Lamb of God.

some occasional clipping, it's pretty serious by my standards.
(sounds very similar to jitter actually)

sounds are good
maybe a touch more vox?

no need to be that loud in my opinion, it's becoming tireing fast.

slammin really.

seriously, that kinda hurts to listen to,
i'd have it professionally mastered.
(and possibly cut just a little hi's out of the gits?????)

I think all the sounds are pretty damn good. That clipping/popping is pretty bad though. I'd look into that.

i didnt even notice the popping till i listened to the soundclick version, and the pops happened in the mp3 i uploaded too... i thought it was really strange i didnt catch that in the mix so i checked it with the session file in cubase too and the pops werent there. it turns out somehow cubase added the pops when making an audio mixdown of an mp3. so i tried mixing down to a .wav and then converting to an mp3 and it seems to work fine now. i also eqed the song a little different, check it out again

but anyway, does anyone know why cubase is doing that?

The highs on the guitar are clashing with the cymbals, and that kind of hurts to listen to. I'd lower the master fader a bit before mixdown, then see if the pops are still there. The threshold might be higher in cubase than for an mp3. I don't see why this would happen, but back it off a bit and see if it helps. It doesn't matter if the song doesn't sound as loud. If you send it off to get professionally mastered, they'll do this for you.

I would like to hear a bit more of the mids in the guitars. Of course, I've always been fond of mids in heavy music. Also, the distortion sounds a bit overdone, I would have gone with a little less distortion, to clean it up a bit.

But rest assured, this is better than what I could do. Of course, it's hard to get good heavy sounds out of a small 80W combo amp, so that's my first problem. Good work man. This is easily sufficient enough a recording to do the band some serious good.

:c)
