what part of the word help dont u understand mate

If it has a stereo out, just take a stereo cable that goes to an 1/8" stereo male end and plug that into your audio card's line in. Set the correct input for record, press record in your chosen recording program, press play on the 4-track. You should be getting a level then.

It's not the word help he doesn't understand. It's your terrible sentence structure that makes it difficult to understand what you're trying to do.

Go from the LR line-outs of your 4-track into the LR line-ins of your computer. If you don't have recording software, I think windows has a Sound Recorder in(Accessories/Intertainment) that you can use (although I've never tried it). Once you have it recorded in digital format, you can use your CD burning software.

I was quite happy with the word help. It was everything after that I had trouble with.

You don't mention what kind of 4 track you've got. If it has digital out (s/pdif), and your sound card has s/pdif input, then that would probably be the best way to transfer the audio as you're skipping an A/D conversion
