hi,

i am new here, on my 40 years old too but i have already more than 15 years in computer software technic.
i am from France, in Amiens town, a little knonw for its tower Perret !

i am a newbie in audio software, mainly i use Goldwave for mixing or clean wav sounds.

hope i can find my answer in this community here !
have a good day

thank you.
for my first question, i had a general question (software help without knwo the software), and i did not find the proper forum, so i post in Adobe one.
it would be good to have a general software forum for such question.

Hi Clavier and welcome.

My son, about your age, has recently moved to Le Havre from Etretat where he still works and teaches guitar. Neither places seem that far from you?

BTW did you have a question about Adobe Audition? I have AA 1.5 (well, not on this laptop anymore, won't run for some reason!) but I don't use it a lot still, might be able to help!

Our very own Boobsy is the Top Man with AA ....NOTHING he don't know about it!

BTW I have very little French but Son is very fluent.

Dave.

Hey. I went to Amiens a few years ago, on my way from Paris to a few of the Somme memorial sites.

well Le Havre is near to 200Km from me...
Le Havre is like Detroit in USA : a great old industry-city with lost employee....but still beautiful and lovely to live there in France.
My question was about how to separate music-only part from music+dialog+ssfx part in a soundtrack.
imagine you have a wav file from a movie, and you want to keep only the part where there is only music (so, delete the part with dialog or sfx). Can audition do that ? i don't want to unmix the dialog, i want to trim everything in the wav which is not 'only-music'
can you help me with that ?
