Bought this today, Nashville Deluxe Tele, MIM.

Worked my summer job for a month and wanted to treat myself though I can't really afford it! Ah well. Plays real nice and that strat pup in the middle means I can knock things outta phase and cut out the noise.
 
Thanks man, I hope so. Didn't get much of a shot at it today, but can' wait to try her out.
 
Oh man...she is a beauty Telepaul...I bet she sounds as sweet as she looks...:cool:

Looks very cool there Paul, you have a great guitar there. You have all of the variety of a Strat without the tremelo robbing the sustain, and the bite of a Tele as well. Is that a vintage style bridge plate, and I bet its got a 5 way switch as well.

I recently inherited a MIM Strat and I am planning to replace the bridge pickup-I'm thinking hard about installing one of those Gretsch style "Filtertron" pickups from GFS. I think it would be cool to have something a bit different in there than a standard type humbucker.

Yeah it's more versatile than the one I've got, which is also awesome! Guess I just love Teles. I'd seen it before but it actually took me ages to find a shop that stocked it.

how does she sound? i have wanted to get a strat as my second guitar, but maybe i should be considering a tele. an awful lot of people seem to like them.

I love how it sounds, if ya wanna hear a clip I have a song in the mp3 mixing clinic I used the tele on.

I like strats too, but this is kinda the best of both worlds.

Hey nicole - at this stage I've played it nearly as much as TelePaul, so I'll give you my thoughts, if that's cool...

Basically, it plays beautifully, and the extra middle pick-up lends it a whole lot of versatility. The pick-ups are Tex Mex, so the trademark Strat 'scooped' sound, found in the middle and neck position, is slightly more defined than it is on the Strat. The bridge and neck positions are pure Tele; biting treble when you need it, and chugging, thick chords with the tone rolled down slightly.

The main difference between it and my Strat, however, is the feel of the neck. It totally fills the hand, and just feels 'solid' for want of a better term.

What prompted you to look for a Fender? I hope you're not tired of that amazing Gibson yet..:) I know the feeling, though - one or two or three guitars is never enough; you just need more of the damn things.
 
i love my Goddess, but i don't think one guitar is enough for recording. i was thinking strat because it's so different from the les paul. but a tele is just as different, and it seems very popular with folks. especially as it's not as expensive as the strat. even if i get the tele first i'll probably eventually get a strat, but i think i'm going to go for the tele first. all you people who love your tele's have convinced me :)

First proper one....I bought a cheapy Yamaha for my 14th birthday, i got the Highway One tele just before my 18th birthday, and now I have the deluxe nashville, right before my 21st.

Oh and on that song it's through an amp modeller.

i was going to ask what you were playing thru. i can't wait to hear what a tele sounds like thru my marshall :)

Yeah, I have a Marshall. It seems to be pretty popular to match Fender amps with Fender guitars, but I've a Marshall AVT. Anfontan plays his Teles through the same.
