I just got my new guitar yesterday and I must say that I am in love with it! Its got a solid mahogany body with a set neck. Active EMG 81 pickup with Fernandes Sustainer system and Floyd Rose locking tremelo. When I got it, I tried to insert the tremelo bar but it was too big. I emailed Fernandes about it and they're sending me the right bar. Other than that, I have no other problems.

I was wondering if there was a certain 9 volt battery you guys/gals would recommend for use with active puckups. There is a weird Panasonic in there right now but I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to replace it sooner than later.

Oh, another question! How long does a battery usually last in an active pickup guitar?

Any info would be awesome! Thanks!

Any brand of alkaline 9V battery will do.

I don't know how much play time you can expect out of the battery but is should be in the order of 10s of hours. Keep your guitar unplugged when not in use and it will last longer.

Oh - I forgot to say congrats on the new axe, and have fun! :)
